Plan A Visit
Planning A Visit?
Below are a few thoughts that will help you get acquainted with our church before your first visit. We hope that this will be helpful and pray that your visit with us is encouraging, rememberable, and impactful as you begin to experience God’s best for your life.
1. Service Times and How Long Do They Last?
We know that you are busy and value your time. So it makes sense to want to know how long you should expect to be with us. We have 3 events happening each Sunday that you may want to join us for and 2 on Wednesdays (We do our best to hold to these times, +/- 10 minutes):
Sunday School: 9:00-9:45 am.
There are welcomers at each door to direct you as to where to go. These classes meet all over our campus so whatever door you find yourself at will work. There are classes and activities for all ages to engage in and enjoy.
Morning Worship Service: 10:00-11:00 am.
This is held in our Main Worship Facility. Feel free to enter any door of the church. If you are running a little late, its no big deal. Drop your kids off at our nursery and come in the main sanctuary entrance. There will be welcomers all over to help you find your way. There are classes and activities for all ages to engage in and enjoy.
Evening Worship Service: 6:30-7:30 pm.
This too is held in our Main Worship Facility. Feel free to enter any door of the church. If you are running a little late, it's no big deal. Drop your kids off at our nursery and come in the main sanctuary entrance. There will be welcomers all over to help you find your way. There are classes and activities for nursery and preschool age children to engage in and enjoy.
Morning Prayer Meeting & Bible Study: 11:00-12:00 am.
This event is held in the education building. It is an opportunity for folks on an early lunch break, those who don't enjoy being out late, and/or have a conflict with the evening gathering to engage in a Bible Study with our Pastor and a sweet time of prayer with our Savior. Make plans to attend.
Prayer Meeting and Youth Activities: 6:30-7:45 pm.
This is our main mid-week gathering. There are classes and activities to suit all ages. We have safe nurseries, exciting children's programs, encouraging student worship, and adult Bible study and Prayer meeting. There are many areas to get involved at First FWB Church and our mid week services are a wonderful place to start.
2. What do people wear at First FWB Church?
You don't want to look different from everyone else and feel uncomfortable. We completely understand that. We don't have a dress code, but we do believe that worshiping our Lord deserves respect. With that said, we do our best to help people feel comfortable in whatever they wear to our services. (Within reason) But F.Y.I. our Sunday services are good mix of Business Casual to Business Formal. At each service you’ll see a good mix of men in nice polos and kakhis and many in suits. Similarly the ladies range from dresses to blouses and slacks. But please know that what you wear is not as important as you being with us and joining us in Worship.
3. What’s our worship style?
We aim to have a blended worship style. By blended we mean that when you attend worship with us you will enjoy both popular worship songs found on today’s Christian radio as well as those great songs and hymns of our Christian heritage. There is something for everybody. We’re sure that you will enjoy worshiping with us.
4. What About the Kids?
Children are the future, right? So what do we do with them during the service?
Your children are your greatest treasure, and they are ours too. We believe that worship is a family activity and have classes, activities, and services planned specifically for your children. From nursery-college there is something age appropriate and applicable for them all. All of our children and student programs are centered in our educational building. There will be welcomers available to help you find your way. Come and try out our children’s and youth ministries and see what everyone has been talking about.
